Water Main Installation On-Going

Work Completed Last Week:

·         Water main installation along Glenayre Drive from Westview Road to Central Road

·         Concrete pathway paving at Central Road and Glendale Drive

 Work Anticipated This Week:

·         Water main installation along Glenridge Drive, starting at Glenayre Drive working south

·         Water main installation along Glen Court

Thank you to all those residents that were without water for a period of time on Monday due to the water main connection between the new and existing systems and Glenayre Drive and Westview Road. Water main shut-downs will occur on occasion in the coming weeks as the new water main is connected to the existing water main. Residents will be notified 24-hours in advance of any scheduled water main shut-down.

As you may realize, construction can be unpredictable. This was the case on Monday afternoon when an unmarked electric line was damaged during construction and caused a wide-spread power outage throughout the neighborhood. We appreciate your understanding as the situation was resolved as quickly as possible.

Sanitary Sewer Improvements Completed. Water Main Begins This Week.

Work Completed Last Week:

·         Sanitary sewer improvements along Glen Court

·         General site clean-up.

·         Work in preparation for starting water main construction.

·         All sanitary sewer improvements along the project site are now completed.

Work Anticipated This Week:

·         Begin water main installation on Glenayre Drive starting at Westview Drive and working south to Central Road.

·         Water main installation along Glenridge Drive starting at Glenayre Drive and working south to Central Road.

As the water main replacement begins, there will be instances when the water main will need to be shut-down to perform connections between the existing and new systems. These shut-downs typically last between 4 and 6 hours. Residents will be notified 24-hours in advance prior to any scheduled water main shut-down.

Thank you to those residents along Glen Court that had limited access to their driveways during last week’s sanitary sewer improvements, your patience and understanding was greatly appreciated.

Start of Construction

·         Grinding-in-place of existing asphalt pavement

·         Mobilization of equipment

·         General prep work prior to work beginning

Work Anticipated This Week:

·         Sanitary sewer service replacement. Contractor will begin on Glenayre Drive at Central Road and work north.

·         Phase I landscape restoration.

As construction starts, you will see an increased amount of activity with large equipment and trucks throughout the construction zone. We understand that construction can cause a great deal of inconveniences including dust, travel restrictions and delays, torn up lawns, and restrictions to your property. Please understand the Village is committed to doing as much as possible to minimize these inconveniences, but unfortunately many of them are unavoidable and part of the construction process. We thank you for your patience and understanding through the year as the construction work is on-going.
