Currently the gas (Nicor) and electric (ComEd) utilities are
performing system upgrades and replacement of their entire facilities within
the Phase II project area.
Due to the close proximity the contractors will be working
and the need for the existing gas and electric lines to be removed to avoid
conflicts with the proposed storm sewer improvements, it has been determined to
wait until Nicor, ComEd, and AT&T have completed their work prior to
beginning the village portion of the work. Currently we are anticipating all
utilities to be completed with their work by May 15th.
The anticipated start date for the underground utility
(storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main) phase of the project is mid-May and
completed by mid-August. The roadway reconstruction phase will follow the
completion of the underground utility installation and is scheduled to be
completed by in early October. Landscape restoration will follow completion of
the roadway reconstruction. It is anticipated to have the final asphalt surface
installed by early November. As much landscape restoration will be completed as
weather conditions allow. Any remaining landscape restoration will be completed
in the spring of 2016.
